Gentle Sleep Support for San Diego Families

Helping babies and toddlers sleep better through responsive, evidence-based sleep support, without cry-it-out methods.

Hi, I'm Neffie, a certified pediatric sleep consultant, postpartum doula, and newborn care specialist. I now support families in person in San Diego, in addition to Chicago and the North Shore and Buffalo, plus virtually nationwide.
If your baby isn't sleeping and you don't know why, that's exactly where I start. No cry-it-out, no rigid schedules forced onto a baby who isn't ready for them. Just a plan built around your specific child

Why In-Person Support in San Diego Matters

A lot of sleep advice online is generic because it has to be. It's written for every baby, which means it isn't really written for yours. In-person support means I can see your baby's actual environment, your nursery, your routine, your family's rhythm, and build a plan around what's really going on, not a guess.
Families across San Diego are working with me the same way Chicago families have for years: a real assessment, a custom plan, and ongoing support as your baby changes.

FAQ

Do you offer in-person visits in San Diego, or only virtual?

Both. I'm now on-site in San Diego and available for in-person support, plus virtual support for families anywhere.

How is in-person support different from virtual?

In-person means I can see your baby's actual room, routine, and environment directly, which often catches things a phone call can't. Virtual support still works well and follows the same custom-plan approach.

Do you use cry-it-out or anything I might be uncomfortable with?

No. I use a gentle, responsive approach, and I would never do anything that goes against your comfort level.

How long does it take to see results?

Every baby is different, but many families start seeing progress within a few days when the plan is followed consistently.

Do I need to be in a specific part of San Diego to work with you in person?

I'm based in Point Loma and visit families across central and coastal San Diego, including Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, North Park, Downtown and Coronado. If you're farther out, we can still work together in person by arrangement, or virtually, with the same custom plan and ongoing support.

What does an in-home sleep consultation in San Diego include?

I come to your home, look at your baby's sleep space, watch your bedtime or nap routine, and talk through what's been happening. From there I build a custom plan for your baby and support you as you put it in place, by call, text or email, adjusting as your baby changes.

Do you work with newborns in San Diego?

Yes. As a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula with more than 8 years of experience, I support San Diego families from the first weeks, helping with sleep, feeding rhythms and realistic expectations, in person or virtually. See my newborn sleep support in San Diego for more.

Is gentle sleep training the same as cry-it-out?

No. Gentle sleep training is responsive and never asks you to leave your baby to cry alone. I build the plan around your baby's temperament, development and feeding needs, and your comfort level, so progress comes without methods that feel wrong for your family.
