What Newborn Support Actually Means
This isn't about forcing structure onto a baby too young for it. It's about understanding feeding rhythms, wake windows, and what's realistic at this stage, while helping you protect your own sleep as much as possible in the meantime. As a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, this stage is where most of my hands-on work has been for the last 8 years.
This kind of in-person baby sleep support in San Diego means I can be there during the hardest part of the day or night, not just talk you through it after the fact.
What This Covers
-
Realistic wake windows and feeding rhythms for your baby's actual age
-
Building sustainable routines without rigid scheduling
-
Support for you as much as for the baby, since newborn sleep is a family problem, not just a baby one

FAQ
Is this the same as sleep training?
No. Newborn support is about understanding your baby's current stage and building realistic routines, not sleep training, which comes later.
Can we work together if I'm breastfeeding?
Absolutely. Breastfeeding and healthy sleep support go together, and I work around whatever feeding choices you've made.
My newborn only sleeps when held. Is that a problem?
It's completely normal at this stage. We'll talk through what's realistic now and what changes as your baby grows.
Do you offer in-person newborn support in San Diego?
Yes, including overnight and hands-on postpartum support depending on what you need.
